The next destination on my road trip across Scotland is the beautiful Isle of Harris (and a bit of Lewis). A place that offers something different from the mainland: stunning sandy beaches. And its fair amount of mountains, bad weather, and midges too, of course.

The mountains of Assynt pushed me out of my comfort zone
In this video, I get a taste of the mountains of Assynt. I start photographing them from the safe ground level, and finish with a hike to one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in a while. But getting there took a lot of work… and risks, because the strong winds made that hike much more sketchy than it should have been otherwise.
